Look at these photographs
I was planning on posting an update after Lily and Frobert gave me their photos, so I could make a joke about being the “frog queen”, or something. I do think it would be a fun long-term goal to collect all the frog villager photos and make a “frog room”, complete with lily-pad tables and froggy chairs. Anyway, I waited too long, and two days ago Tabby also gave me her photo.
I actually can’t remember if I ever received a villager pic when I was little. I know that I definitely wanted to get Goldie’s, since I was obsessed with her. But I had what I’m going to call “loading screen brain” (untreated ADHD), so I don’t think I ever locked in enough to meet that goal.
Another thing that I’m trying to do, now that I’m a medicated adult, is making my town actually look good. I found a path design that I like, which is a good start. To me it always felt wrong laying down an actual road-looking-ass road, so this is a game changer. The one thing I’m still struggling with, though, is planting trees and trying to space them out correctly. The trial and error of planting saplings and hoping they don’t die is a grueling process.
In other news, Buck took the hint and vamoosed out of town. What an ego, though, thinking I cried over him. We didn't even talk once, bro. Bones, a lazy pink-snouted beagle, moved in shortly after. The Nintendo gods have been kind to me lately, because I’ve been hoping to get a dog villager!
Another villager who TRIED to move out was Tabby, and I was shocked. It was especially odd because it was the day after she gave me her pic. Can you imagine if a friend said, “I love you so much that I'm giving you this picture of me”, and then they just fled town?
I couldn’t let it happen. I love Tabby, and I’m just not ready to say goodbye. I love her ugly face. I love that she’s obsessed with bugs and is always challenging me to see who can catch something first. And I love her weird house that looks like she likes to drop acid and look at said bugs. I broke down and asked her not to move about a dozen times. And then I sent her this sappy letter.
I haven't booted my game up today, so I'm not sure if I was successful. I realize I could quickly do that and see...but who doesn't love a cliffhanger?
XOXO,
Chilly
P.S. I went to Bree’s birthday party and noticed that the doghouse was gone. Interesting, since I found a doghouse in the recycling bin that morning. Shame on you, Bree. I know it was destroying your white furniture, but you can't just throw pets away. Go watch that ASPCA commercial and let Sarah McLachlan destroy you with her heart-wrenching vocals.
A star shines brightest before it dies.. Let's hope Tabby stays in town for the next season‼️
